International Runners
As an international runner flying in from overseas we appreciate that you may need more local support from the event than a regional or local runner. With that in mind we have a few options to help make your run with us as easy and memorable as possible. We can offer the following upon request:
Transport from Maun International Airport (5h30 drive) or Sir Seretse Khama International Airport in Gaborone (6h30 drive) to the race village. Both airports have flights to and from Johannesburg. Note that if you plan on a safari before of after the race that Maun is the better option due to its proximity to the Northern game reserves. The transport costs will be BWP 1,680.00.
Accommodation is tents for all runners and guests. Tent rental options is:
3rd party supplied larger canvas tents with cot beds and bedding available to rent for BWP 1,780.00 for 2 nights. You will use event bucket showers and portaloos that are shared with the self-campers.
We ask all runners and supporters to bring their own camping chairs, cutlery, bowls, cups etc to reduce our impact on the Planet and area.

- The price for these safaris varies depending on where you stay, how long you stay for and what you do.
- The options vary on one hand from an exciting but affordable self drive in a fully kitted 4×4 vehicle where you are in charge of your adventure; to an all inclusive fly in 5* award winning luxury lodge on the other hand where you don’t have to lift a finger.
- You can also include the amazing Victoria Falls and gorgeous Cape Town as very easy add ons with direct flights to and from Maun. We will help you speak to a booking agent who can arrange the perfect safari for your needs within your budget.
