    Maun to Kukonje Island

    Salt Pans Ultra Day 1

    We pick you up in the morning at the Hotel.

    It takes about 6 hours from Maun to Kunkje Island. The drive is fully catered.

    You will arrive at the base camp around 14.oo. The Salt Pans Ultra will start at 18.30 with a night run and a stay over night in the pans.

    Kubu Island

    Salt Pans Ultra Day 2

    Day 2 is the tough day of the ultra. You will run from the overnight camp to Kubu Island and back to our base camp at the eastern border of the pans.

    Around the Island

    Salt Pans Ultra Day 3

    The 3rd day of the ultra marathon is a run around Kuk0nje Island. You will even leave the Salt Pans and run through some parts with vegetation. With good luck you can spot a wildebeest or a zebra.

    The afternoon is all dedicated for price giving and our post race party.

    Leroo La TauLeroo La Tau is situated on the western bank of the Boteti River, northwest of Khumaga Village and about 140 kilometres southeast of Maun. The eastern bank of the Boteti forms the boundary of the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park, which stretches away from the riverbank towards its interior of scrubland and mineral-rich grasslands.
